This Strategy was developed after extensive stakeholder and industry consultation, and articulates the Greater Whitsunday region with its unmatched METS sector expertise, is poised for significant economic growth across seven emerging sectors:

• Bioenergy
• Biomanufacturing
• Circular Economy
• Space
• Post-Mining Land use

Through GW3’s associated initiative, the Decarbonisation Accelerated project, GW3 will coordinate and drive the delivery of key actions within the Strategy, including supporting skills development, forging partnerships, providing insights, and advocating for regulatory and policy changes.
