LEADAg PLUS Applications are open!!

LEADAg Plus is for 18 to 30 years-old as at 1 June 2024, keen to build agricultural skills, meet potential employers and follow an agriculture career pathway.

LEADAg Plus is a two-week program and is being offered in two different locations, Longreach or Tambo. Participants must be available to attend both weeks of the program in their chosen area.

Longreach:

• Week 1 (10th-14th June)
• Week 2 (19th-23rd August)

Tambo:

• Week 1 (17th-21st June)
• Week 2 (26th-30th August)

Participants should arrive to the respective location on the Sunday prior to the first day of each week. Families of participants are invited to attend a small graduation ceremony on the final day of the program in August.

Training and exposure will be provided in areas such as stock handling (including cattle, sheep and goats), wool harvesting (shearing), animal nutrition, pest control, rural and remote first aid, UTV operation, small motor mechanics, welding, chainsaw use and fencing.

No prior agriculture experience is required to apply.
